Domaine des Grands Devers
In the north of the Vaucluse there is a small 'enclave' which the popes used to claim as their own. Today, this is still regarded as part of Vaucluse even though it is geographically separated from it.
As you approach the town of Valreas in the enclave you will see a sign directing you to Domaine des Grands Devers. You drive into a verdant valley and see vineyards carpeting the high hills. This is where the Bouchard brothers are producing wines of considerable elegance.
Domaine des Grands Devers Cotes du Rhone Red 2006
This is the standard Cotes du Rhone red produced by Domaine des Grands Devers. The grapes are sourced from the upper slopes of the valley. Syrah (Shiraz), Grenache and Carignan are used to produce this wine which receives no oak treatment hence allowing the fruit to shine through.

Domaine des Grands Devers Cotes du Rhone Villages Visan Red 2005
Domaine des Grands Devers have vineyards that fall within the boundaries of two high quality appellations. This wine is made from vines within the boundaries of the Visan commune which is one of a small number where the name of the village can be used on the label, thus indicating that it is a high quality wine.
